Steinweg organization ever since the Company was founded in December 1847 as a forwarding agent, Handelsveem was created in 1895 to take care of the warehousing side further expanded with stevedoring and other services. The network of European offices has been growing ever since the 1950's with expansion into Asia and South America during the 1980's followed by North America, the Middle East, Africa and Russia / Baltic in the 1990's.
